Youth Buddhist Society [YBS] is a volunteer, nongovermental, nonsectarian, nonprofit,
nonpolitical people's development movement based on engaged buddhism established on 1986 in Sankisa,
Uttar Pradesh - India.
By act of Indian constitution YBS was formally incorporated in 1994 as Youth Buddhis Society Development Committe of India.
YBS has brought about grassroot innitiative, involvement and development of mind among thousand of villagers and human race in India.

Logo & Meaning
'Candle stand' in the middle means the foundation of Dhamma, Three candles represent The Three Jewels [Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha], by the help of The Three Jewels to turn the Dhamma Wheel [Dhammachakra] produce light to the candles.
Light means 'Wisdom' [pal. pañña], Wisdom bring about happiness to society in turn the hapiness will become the source of crops (paddy on left and right), green environment, etc.
Left side Hindi character [Bahujana Hitaya: in favour of all] and right side [Bahujana sukkhaya: happiness for all].
The text on the ribbon below is "Youth Buddhis Society Development Committee" Those as described above is the very goal of Youth Buddhist Society Development Committee, we want to make it happened in this world.
